Dear Prayer Partners,

It’s been a snowy November here in Northern Michigan. It seems that just as things get melty or the dirty bits from the road starts to show through, we get a coating of new, fresh snow. It’s a reminder for me of the new life that God offers to each person who will put their trust in him and of his commitment to restore us to purity, no matter what our past.

The Psalmist writes in chapter 51: 7 and 10, “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow… Create in me a pure heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

There is great confidence and hope in God’s promise to restore us. It is confidence we work to pass along to the youth and families we serve today, and hope we long to share with them for tomorrow.

In recent days I’ve witnessed it when a mom was able to take her son home after an extended stay in foster care. I’ve seen it in the strength of a foster parent, visiting the young man in residential care that she and her husband had welcomed in to their home years ago. And I see it every day in the staff who invest in those who need it most.

As you pray for Eagle Village this month, remember to pray for confidence for today and hope for the days ahead. We have every reason for both, because of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you for your prayers and Merry Christmas!
