Dear Prayer Partners,
Our residents love to pray.
I am reminded of this fact often, and I am encouraged by the Eagle Village residents who are eager to talk to God.
This week Pastor Eric and I had the privilege of eating lunch with a few residents who read the book of John in its entirety this winter.
We checked the residents out of their on-campus school here at Eagle Village and drove across town to a local restaurant. Menus were distributed and lemonades were ordered. Before the meal began we paused to pray for the food we were about to eat. Each resident wanted to pray, so there in the restaurant they took turns thanking God for the food, and praying about whatever else was on their hearts in that moment.
The next day at chapel, as is our custom, we prayed for a resident who was at chapel for their last time before leaving Eagle Village. Both staff and residents gathered around, placed hands on, and prayed for the one who would soon be leaving. Residents eagerly prayed, one after another, for their peer whose life was at a point of transition.
It’s an encouragement to see the spiritual lives of residents grow and mature during their time on campus at Eagle Village.
Thank you for your continued prayer support for the ministry of Eagle Village.
God be with you,
Pastor Chris DeMerell
