How do we respond to the Good News?
As 2019 comes to a close and 2020 begins, we remember one more time the story of Christmas and the difference that can be made on our lives by the Good News of that great story.
At the final Chapel Service of 2019, we explored the Christmas Story and the story of the shepherds, we discussed their response to the Good News they found. Luke 2:16-18 says that “when the shepherds had seen Jesus, they spread the word… and all who heard it were amazed…” The shepherds received Good News, they experienced Good News, and then they spread the Good News. The Good News changed their lives.
The question for us then is simple: What will we do with the Good News we receive? What will we do with the Good News we experience? When God moves in our lives we are motivated to make a difference in the world. It’s what the shepherds did, and I believe that it’s what we are called to do.
Each kid at Eagle Village, each Eagle Village staff person, you, and me… we are called to make a difference in the world because of the difference we have received and experienced.
Thank you for partnering with Eagle Village and supporting her mission!
Keep praying and keep making a difference.
