We can live amazing, impactful lives because of God’s love.
This week in chapel, we talked about Jesus’ baptism. We talked about how God was proud of Jesus. We talked about all of the amazing things that Jesus did during his time on earth.
What we discovered though, was that God was proud of Jesus before Jesus really started doing amazing things… not after. It would make sense for God to be proud of Jesus because of all of the amazing things he accomplished, but that’s just not what we see in the Bible. God is proud of Jesus before the long list of accomplishments. Jesus lived His world-changing life because God was proud, He didn’t live His world-changing life trying to make God proud.
We too can live our lives to change the world and do amazing things because God loves us, not in order to earn His love.
