Dear Prayer Partners,
Well, summer is officially here. The pool is open. Camps are happening. Kids are out of school. Staff are finding time to get away with their families for precious time together. It’s a season we all cherish, and carries with it many reasons to celebrate.
We celebrate the completion of the first academic year of our partnership with Lighthouse Academy. Early on in the school year, we had asked for your prayers for the school transition, and for our teachers and students to find a rhythm and a “new normal.” I’m happy to report that huge progress was made throughout the year, and by all accounts it was a very successful year.
Two of our residents graduated from high school. Many others made significant progress towards graduation… and just this week, many were given medals to celebrate their achievements in math, reading, social studies, and art.
We celebrate progress made in our Connections program, as it moved into its new home in Hainley House. Please continue to pray for our staff and residents in this program.
We celebrate the work done towards remodeling and reopening the Intervention Center as the new Assessment Center. Pray for God’s provision of key staff who will be instrumental in launching this new program later this summer.
We celebrate the many donors and volunteers who partner with us through their time and gifts to the Eagle Fund. They allow us keep making continuous improvement to our services, and to continue to provide spiritual life programs, experiential services, and many other extra services to the youth and families we serve.
And, most of all, we celebrate the work God is doing in and through the ministry of Eagle Village. He is truly a faithful God!
