Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

We need a Team Member to lead the recruitment and engagement of volunteers that will impact our campus and each volunteer. The main responsibility is to tell the Eagle Village story to churches and in communities with the goal of asking people to join our mission by inspiring them to volunteer. The ability to represent Eagle Village well, to recruit and follow through with each volunteer, and increase the number of both volunteer groups and individual volunteers who have a great experience on our campus is the goal.

We need someone who:

  • Establish a campus Volunteer Committee that continually generates projects that the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator recruits volunteers to complete. Organize who will join you to work with the group or individuals to make the experience effective, productive and positive.
  • Promote the volunteer project with a projected timeframe needed through our marketing coordinator, the volunteer email list and call churches, community organizations, businesses and those on the volunteers list to recruit help.
  • Connect to church mission committees, service groups, businesses and individuals to offer mini mission trips or ongoing volunteer opportunities.
  • Recruit and schedule people to participate in the monthly Friends Friday you will lead, to see our campus and take the next step to give time. Follow up with Friends Friday participants to talk through how they would like to volunteer, the frequency and set a plan in motion for each individual or group.
  • Organize community events to provide Eagle Village updates and recruit volunteers.
  • Plan and track visits and outcomes with churches, service groups, businesses and individuals to increase the number of volunteers that impact Eagle Village.
  • Set goals to increase the number of volunteers, participation in Friends Fridays and volunteer projects completed.
  • Create a volunteer appreciation plan.
  • Track what volunteers accomplished, time given and send a year end letter to acknowledge their contribution and include in the Impact Report.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate volunteer availability.
  • Provide talent and energy to implement Team strategies to reach goals.
  • Assist with special events in communities and on campus (Eagles Pride, Village Christmas, Fall Donor Event).
  • Participate in a 2-week onboarding process as a new employee for Eagle Village.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Advancement and/or Eagle Village organization.
